YELLOW JACKET QUALIFIER

JANUARY 17, 2009

Dear Coach,

The following information is concerning the Yellow Jacket Qualifier which will qualify the top two placers for the Carolina Invitational in late January.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, January 17^th at Fort Mill High School. The format will be double elimination out of a sixteen man bracket. There will be a two pound weight allowance.

Middle School- 82,87,92,97,102,107,112,117,122,127,134,142,152,162,172,187,277

JV – 105,114,121,127,132,137,142,147,154,162,173,191,217,287

Email your roster with win/loss records on Wednesday, January 14^th by 7:00 PM. The event will be capped at 450 wrestlers. No submissions will be accepted beyond that point. Include a phone number with your roster. Be sure to specify on a separate list, the following information… name, division (MS or JV), and weight class. Middle school is 7^th and 8^th grade; JV is 9^th and 10^th grade.

The information that you submit is final. If a wrestler is listed in the wrong division or weight class, or doesn’t make weight he will not wrestle.

Keep in mind that a varsity wrestler is only allowed 16 dates. There should be no varsity level wrestlers competing in the qualifying tournaments regardless of grade.

Email scratches on Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning scratches should be called in at 803-487-0187 or 803-548-8239.

First round bout sheets will be drawn Friday night.

It is critical that you update scratches in order to prevent delays on Saturday.

Other information includes: Weigh-In 8:00 AM

Start Time: 9:00 – 9:30 AM

Match Time: 2-1-1

Awards: Medals for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd

Entry Fee: $7.00 per wrestler……$175.00 max per team.

* MS and JV wrestlers are considered different teams.
